Novelty Credit Cards – Worth Having Or Just A Novelty
Speaking of the magic of Disney, it begins with – in this instance – the Disney Visa credit card. Any of the seven designs can be chosen while getting the card. The one I have marks the 50th anniversary of famous Disneyland. I will surely be missing it after it expires. There are even cards with other characters like Tinker Bell, Nemo and even the combination of Donald, Mickey and Goofy.
You also get reward points on every purchase you make with this card. For every $100, you will earn 1 point. $52 will get you 1 point but so will $145. To get to 2 points you need to spend between $150 and $250, and so on.
Worth mentioning is that your points will be valid for as long as 5 years. So you should ensure the use of your points on a reasonably regular basis to avoid the cut-off.
If you are a regular user of Disney services or traveller to Disney theme parks, the benefits soon mount up. There is 0% APR for using your Disney credit card on any Disney Cruise Line for up to six months for example, and also on a number of selected resorts’ packages and Adventures by Disney vacations. An on-board credit of $50 is provided too, if you travel on Disney Cruises.
Another thing to notice is the difference in benefits between the two different places, i.e. Disney World and Disneyland. The card is more advantageous at Disneyland rather than at Disney World. While at both, on the purchase of over $50, you get a 10% discount – but at Disneyland, you get more at every pin trader location, regular stores and at the restaurants in the park with the usage of this card. I think I should also include the mention of a stroller rental at Disneyland for free in this list too. So if you have a young child no need to bring your own stroller.
Why not check out the Disney credit card. The Disney visa card is a great card all-round so check out just how much it can help you enhance your Disney trip even more!
